PaperCut Print Client - Setting up the client
How to Sign In to the PaperCut Client on Your Mac
Your Mac is already equipped with the PaperCut client, which allows you to manage and release your print jobs. To activate it, you need to sign in with your JLA Google account.
Here’s how to find the client and sign in.
Step 1: Find the PaperCut Icon
The PaperCut client is always running in the background. You can find its icon in the menu bar at the very top of your screen, near the Wi-Fi icon and the clock.
It will look like a small green printer icon.
Step 2: Open the Client Window
If the sign-in window is not already open on your desktop:
Click the green printer icon in your menu bar.
From the dropdown menu, select "View my printers".
This will open the main PaperCut client window.

Step 3: Sign In with Google SSO
Now that the client window is open, you will sign in.
Click the large "Sign in with Google" button (Do not type anything in the username or password fields).
Your default web browser (Safari or Chrome) will automatically open to the Google login page.
-
Sign in using your JLA Google account (e.g., your.username@jlastudents.org or your.username@jlamiami.org).
If prompted, complete the two-factor authentication (2FA/MFA) step.
You will see a "Success" message in your browser. You can now close the browser tab and return to your desktop.
Step 4: Verify You Are Logged In
The PaperCut client window on your desktop will now refresh. You will see your username and the list of your printers.
You are now successfully signed in and ready to print. You will not need to do this again unless you sign out.
